Niger Republic Day

This date marks the founding of the Republic of Niger, following the constitutional changes of the French Fifth Republic. Nigeriens consider this date to the founding of their national institutions. It was declared a national holiday in 2005.

Qatar National Day

This day commemorates Qatar’s unification in 1878 by unifying all the local tribes by combating external forces. The holiday was established in 2007 by decree of the then Crown Prince and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. It is also known as Founder’s Day. It is a national holiday and the public are given the day off from school and work. Celebrations include Fireworks, Parades and a Classic Car Show.
