International Cheetah Day

This day celebrates the cheetah and raises awareness about it being Africa’s most endangered cat and it being threatened. Dr Laurie Marker founded the Cheetah Conservation Fund and designated this day in remembrance of Khayam, a cheetah she raised from a cub, whose birthday was today.
