Panama Flag Day
The flag of Panama was made by Maria de la Ossa de Amador by the “ley 48 de 1925”. The flag day is celebrated one day after Panamanian separation from Colombia in 1903, and is one of a series of holidays celebrated in November known as the Fiesta Patrias.
Tonga National Day
On this day in 1875, King George Tupou I, who had conquered the islands, gave his consent to the constitution of the new nation of Tonga, guaranteeing their rights. It was celebrated for many years as Tonga Constitution Day, the government of Tonga in 2006 renamed the holiday Tonga National Day and pronounced it an occasion to celebrate the country’s heritage as a whole.
