World Bonobo Day is celebrated on 14th February to raise awareness of Bonobos and protect them before it’s too late. It was started by the conservationist Ashley Stone, founder of the Bonobo Project in 2015. The species is only found in the DR of Congo, and it is estimated that there are between 15,000 and 50,000 left.
