Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

Canada celebrates Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October to celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the past year. It has been officially celebrated as an annual holiday since 6th November 1879, being celebrated before in either late October or early November before this year. From 1879 onwards, it was a Thursday in November, and then after World War One it was celebrated on the Monday of the week in which 11th November occurred along with Armistice Day. Ten Years Later the two holidays became separate, and Thanksgiving was proclaimed to be on the second Monday in October, apart from 1935 when it was moved due to a general election. It was finally fixed in Parliament in 1957. The theme of each year is also changed to reflect an important event to be thankful for.
