St Wenceslaus Day (Czech Statehood Day)

This day commemorates the duke of Bohemia Wenceslaus I who was assasinated on this day in 935. His martyrdom and the popularity of several biographies gave rise to a reputation for heroic virtue that resulted in his elevation to sainthood. He was posthumously declared to be a king and came to be seen as the patron saint of the Czech state.

Thailand Flag Day

The design of the current flag was adopted on this day in 1917, according to the royal decree issued by Rama VI. Since 2016, this day is a national day of importance.
