Independence Days on 15th September

Today marks five independence days in Central America in the countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. None of these countries had looked for independence from Spain, but after the Spanish were finally defeated in the Mexican War of Independence, the authorities in Guatemala declared the independence of all of Central America.
