San Marino Independence Day
San Marino was said to have been founded on this day in 301 AD according to legend from the Roman Empire.
Australia Flag Day
It commemorates this day in 1901 when the Australian National Flag was first flown. On that day the Prime Minister Edmund Barton announced the winners of the official 1901 Federal Flag Design Competition. On 28th August 1996, the Governor-General of Australia, Sir William Deane, issued a proclamation that officially established the day as Australian Flag Day.
National Skyscraper Day
It is a day to appreciate Skyscrapers, which are buildings with at least 40 floors. This date was chosen because it is the birthday of Louis H. Sullivan who was influential in the world of constructing tall buildings as an architect, being named the “father of skyscrapers”.
