Ukraine has two holidays over today and tomorrow.
Day of the National Flag (23rd August)
It has celebrated since 2004, a day before the independence day of the country. The first ceremonial raising of the yellow and blue flag in modern times took place on 24th July 1990.
Independence Day
This day commemorates the Declaration of Independence of 1991 from the Soviet Union. There used to be military parades and concerts to celebrate the event.
