Ethiopia Constitution Day

On this day in 1931 the first modern constitution for Ethopia was implemented, replacing the Fetha Nagast, which had been the supreme law there since the middle ages. It was introduced in a lavish ceremony in the presence of Emperor Haile Selassie, who had wanted to proclaim one for his country.
